Pls read this to the end if you belong to EBONYI PREMIER LEAGUE (EPL)
Good evening coaches, officials and players.
I hope this meets you well.
EPL is a grassroot league organized by all the coaches, none exception.
But for so many years now EPL have enjoyed smooth sail, because few people have stood up to make sure things are working fine.
When meetings are called only 5 coaches keeps attending and the rest turn a blind eye to it then after rules and regulations are mapped out the teams that didn't attend will start shouting they are cheated.
This MUST AND HAVE STOPPED and won't happen this year.
After our last meeting today this is the coach's conclusion.
No team will play this year's league without FULL REGISTRATION.
Take note this registration was scheduled since 3 months ago and till now only few teams have paid.
Nobody plays a tournament without full registration.
If any team did not conclude their payment on or before mid night before their first match, their opponent are advice not to turn up in the match, and there by will be awarded the 3 points.
If the two teams playing this week haven't completed their registration or have not paid, we won't send any official for the match and the two teams should forget the match, no point will be given to any of them.
This will keep repeating each week and after 3 weeks of none compliance, the team will be dropped for the years league thereby telling us you don't want to participate.
Tomorrow is our opening kick off and it's between Adoration FC Vs Fetha FC.
If after tomorrow's kick off Adoration did not complete their registration fee by 12 mid night against Monday morning, the three-points played initially will be awarded to Fetha, (if Adoration won)
Till fund comes into the league which we believe is already close, all teams participating this year will be paying the sum of one thousand Naira (1000 Naira) only WEEKLY for officiating, this will help us fund the referees. Once fund comes in, this payment will STOP.
This is none negotiable.
Prepare for a higher league this year. No fighting, no issues, just come play your game and go home.
