Myanmar failed to upload their first team, after negotiating with Myanmar National Team, they honestly said that they have not enough player for playing this competition due to a unstable geo politics conflict in the nation. Few of players confirmed will not able to assemble in Yangon. Asia Badminton Federation has accepted the withdrawal and pick Vietnam Men' team to replace it. The drawing wouldn't redo as Vietnam Men' team also considered as Seed 3. Vietnam Badminton Federation has accepted this invitation to play in Qingdao China. They quickly upload their first team to attend this competition. First coach of Vietnam men team, Yiew Sem Lim have confidence for his team to perform well. They will face with China and India in Group A.
Asia Cup consider as qualifications for Thomas Cup this year.
