ESL has announced the bracket for the IEM Rio Americas Closed Qualifier, scheduled to take place from January 21-23 and offering one spot at the main event.
paiN, NRG, and M80 declined invites to the qualifier, which will be played on South American servers and feature a double-elimination, best-of-three bracket.
Imperial head into the qualifier as the highest-ranked team, but have been seeded on the same side of the bracket as Sharks, who beat Imperial, Legacy, and MIBR en route to a trophy lift at BetBoom RUSH B Summit Season 1 on Sunday.
Sharks are also among a quartet of teams — 9z, Fluxo, and RED Canids being the others — that will play in the qualifier while simultaneously competing at BetBoom Circuit X Redemption Curitiba, a $25,000 LAN in Brazil that runs from January 21-25.
