IEM Rio Closed Qualifier bracket set

ESL has announced the bracket for the IEM Rio Global Closed Qualifier, set to begin on January 21.

PARIVISION, HEROIC, and GamerLegion are notable omissions from the team list, as the trio has declined invitations due to competing at the BLAST Bounty Finals in Malta during the same timeframe.

Replacing the trio will be GenOne, Ursa, and KOLESIE, who all came one win away from progressing through the open portion of the qualifier.

The withdrawals mean that Gentle Mates are now the highest-ranked team in the tournament, and are set to face off against Nuclear TigeRES in the opening round of the double-elimination bracket. Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev's BC.Game are also in contention and have been pitted against Ursa.

The 16-team bracket is set to award two spots at IEM Rio, which will be played from April 13-19 and feature a $1,000,000 prize pool.
