SILLY SEASON UPDATE: Federico Monti to replace Allesandro Bergamo for the remainder of the 2026 NBMCS season.
Germain Racing has pulled the plug on Allesandro Bergamo, who had a difficult last 2 years finishing in the bottom half of the field in each season. He currently finds himself 34th in points, finishing dead last in his last race at Road America. As of right now, Bergamo does not currently have a ride for the remainder of the year, and will most likely be forced to find a seat in the lower series for the next few years.
Federico Monti is a fellow Italian driver like Allesandro. He formerly competed in the WFA F2 series, finishing 5th in 2025. He now joins Germain Racing as part of their forgein driver program, which helped get Allesandro Bergamo into the seat in 2024.
Federico Monti will race for the remainder of the 2026 NASCAR brazmotor™ Cup Series season. It is unlikely that he will be re-signed for the 2027 season, as he looks to move back into open wheel racing in IndyCar.
