Dynamo Kyiv have spent the majority of the clubs history at the national stadium, NSC Olimpisky. A couple of exceptions, with playing at alternative venues such as the Dynamo stadium which they own. However, they feel like the Dynamo stadium is too low capacity for the club's main team and are now revealing plans to build a 50,000 capacity stadium.
The Dynamo stadium has been rented to Arsenal Kyiv's main team for the past 16 years. However, that lease came to an end in the 2024-25 and Arsenal Kyiv stated they are not renewing the lease and are playing at different venue for 2025-26. However, the Dynamo stadium is used by Dynamo Kyiv's academy teams and womens team.
This stadium, if constructed, will become the third largest venue in Ukraine, behind the NSC Olimpisky (≈ 70,000) and Donbass Arena (≈ 53,000). The stadium will include four stands and four corners with a VIP area, 60+ executive boxes, 3,000 premium seats and 2 press boxes, media center, broadcaster suites.
Just like the NSC Olimpisky, there will also be very convinient transport locations. The Lukianivska Station is opposite to where the stadium is planned to be built alongside several bus routes and also a tram route that go pass it.
Dynamo Kyiv have revealed the plans today and will wait on council approval to begin planning to build. It could be a billion euro project or even more. Dynamo Kyiv have stated if they can get it approved by the end of Summer, they hope to move into the stadium for the 2027-28 season.
