Following Epicenter's 1-0 victory over Metalist Kharkiv in the Ukrainian First League play-off final, we now know all the 18 teams participating in the top flight of Ukrainian football next season, and it sure will be an interesting one!

Dynamo Kyiv going into the season as defending champions and it won't be easy again, with their fierce rivals Shakhtar Donetsk looking to pick up a league title for the first time since 2020 and Zorya Luhansk are looking to try and win their third league title in four years. Furthermore, new challengers such as Oleksandryia, Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih and maybe even Polissya Zhytomyr will potentially be striving for the title.

Volyn Lutsk, returning to the top flight for the first time since 2015-16 finished 1st in the Ukrainian First League last season with 100 points, breaking several Ukrainian First League records along the way. The big question for them is, can their performances translate to Ukrainian Premier League level? If so, they will not only survive but could potentially thrive this season.

Tavryia Simferopol after being forced to leave in 2013-14 have had a remarkable return to Ukrainian football. They finished the season on 90 points after their best season in their recent history. Another big question for them, just like Volyn Lutsk, is can their performances translate to the top flight level? This team has great potential to do well next season.

Epicenter after an emotional 1-0 win vs Metalist Kharkiv in the play-off final are in the top flight for the first time in their history. Currently we don't really have a great idea of what Epicenter could achieve next season. However, if they improve their squad and make the right transfers, theres some potential for this club. It is also great to see a new club competing in the top flight. We saw Polissya Zhytomyr finish 5th last season and LNZ Cherkasy finish 8th as well, the two debutants of last season.

Currently, it's difficult to predict who could be in the relegation battle. Kolos Kovalivka, Inhulets Petrove, Olimpik Donetsk and FC Mariupol were the teams which managed to escape that crazy end of season relegation battle. Will they learn their lessons from the previous season and improve their squads in the summer? We will see.

It will be another great season of Ukrainian Premier League football and we cannot wait for the season to start on the weekend of Saturday 9 August 2025. The fixture release will be on Saturday 14 June at 12:30 EET, so stay tuned.

We will provide regular updates on each team's preseason campaign and summer signings as well as Shakhtar Donetsk's journey of the FIFA Club World Cup.
