Season Preview: Will Isak transfer saga rock the boat at Newcastle?

Eddie Howe has transformed Newcastle into a regular top 5 team during his time in charge. This summer however there has been more uncertainty over Newcastle. Star striker Alexander Isak has been linked to multiple clubs this summer but as of now has stayed in Newcastle.
Newcastle haven't spent big this summer but made one marquee signing in Anthony Elanga. Elanga had a very successful campaign with Nottingham last season and will certainly have an influential role at Newcastle as well. Other signings have mainly been youngsters for the future. At goal however Newcastle brought in Aaron Ramsdale on loan from relegated Southampton.
Some long-time Newcastle players have left elsewhere this summer. Sean Longstaff and Martin Dubravka left to newly promoted Leeds and Burnley and striker Callum Wilson left on a free transfer to West Ham. Defenseman Lloyd Kelly moved to Juventus after playing there on loan last season. Jamal Lewis and Isaac Hayden also left at the end of their contracts.
The biggest questionmark at Newcastle hangs over Alexander Isak. If Isak stays, there is no doubt that Newcastle could replicate another fight for Champions League football. However if Isak leaves, a big striker signing would have to be made and there would not be any guarantee that they could match Isak's output.
My prediction: 5th
