Season Preview: Brighton fighting for Europe again?

Last season saw a new manager take over at Brighton. Fabian Hürzeler became the youngest Premier League manager ever but his age didn't slow Brighton down. Brighton enjoyed their second-best season ever and finished 8th in the table. Brighton have spent big this summer but can they fight against the big guys again?
Brighton have made some big signings this summer. Young attackers Tom Watson, Charalampos Kostoulas and Yoon Do-young joined for a total fee of over 40 million pounds. Other key additions include left-back Maxim De Cuyper as well as centre-backs Olivier Boscagli and Diego Coppola.
Some key players have also left the club which has been the norm for the last few seasons. Arguably their best player Joao Pedro moved to Chelsea. He leaves big shoes to fill in attack. Left-back Pervis Estupinan has also played a key role or Brighton but moved to AC Milan. He was quickly replaced by De Cuyper. Forward Simon Adingra left to newly promoted Sunderland after struggling to get game time last season. Valentin Barco and Kjell Scherpen were other notable departures.
In attack Brighton have weakened because of Pedro's departure. It remains to be seen whether Brighton will look to buy another forward this window. Midfielder Carlos Baleba has also been linked to other clubs so his future remains uncertain. There is no doubt that Brighton will once again be a tough opponent for everyone. The Seagulls will definitely look to replicate last years performance and even climb higher to European places.
My prediction: 9th
