Palace continued their run of consistent mid-table finishes last season. In the FA Cup however Palace went on to beat Man City in the final, bringing silverware to Selhurst Park. As a result Palace will be playing in the Europa League alongside Premier League football.

The summer window has been quiet for Palace. Backup goaltender Walter Benitez joined from PSV and left-back Borna Sosa from Ajax. Some new signings are therefore likely but also depending on Eberechi Eze's future. Eze has been linked with many clubs this summer and would be a massive loss for Palace.

Three squad players have left Palace on free transfers. Wing-backs Joel Ward and Jeffrey Schlupp as well as defender Rob Holding. These players are not too difficult to replace but squad depth will be important for Palace with more fixtures in the calendar.

Crystal Palace have finished in the places between 10th and 15th every season since returning to the Premier League in 2013. The same could be expected from the club this season as well. Last season Palace had a slow start but improved in the second half of the season. If Oliver Glasner gets his team going right from the beginning, a top 10 finish could be within reach for the South Londoners.
