Altoona high school played Hollidaysburg on 5-12 at 3:30 , Altoona would find there selfs down 5-0 after 2 innings pitcher Brady stains for Hollidaysburg was putting on a clinic giving up 1 hit in five innings of work with 8 strikeouts, Altoona star Chase Shaffer would put Altoona on his back with 2 moon shot Homeruns Shaffer walked in to this game with a 476 batting average 1 home run and 27 hits Shaffer had 3 hits a single in the 1st inning and 2 home runs in the 5th and a walk off homerun in the 7th we interviewed chases mom she said “ I never been more proud of this kid he has a special talent for the game his pap tought him every thing he knows about the game of baseball I’m a proud mother of this kid I’m sad now it’s his last home game ever in a Altoona uniform but now it’s playoff time and this team is red hot” As his mom pointed that Altoona is walking in to the playoffs red hot on a 5 game winning streak coach tom smith said “ this team is a special team they all play together and have each other’s backs “ Altoona will play Mifflin county @ Home and the winner will get state College in the.
