The fourth day of PGL Cluj-Napoca has concluded with Falcons, Eternal Fire, and paiN locking in playoff berths while Wildcard, MIBR, and Complexity were sent home with 1-3 records.
The fifth and final round of the Swiss group stage will determine the last three teams to lock in spots in the BT Arena, which will play host to the single-elimination playoff bracket from February 21-23 and culminate in a best-of-five grand final.
Astralis and BIG will face off for the first of those spots to kick off the final group stage round, with Casper "cadiaN" Møller's men laboring through a three-map series against MIBR and BIG fending off Wildcard to earn their first and only chance to advance.
3DMAX pushed Eternal Fire the distance in their 2-1 qualifying series and couldn't get the job done, but their recent form and wins over Virtus.pro and MIBR earlier in the event position the French side well to make it past a SAW barely limping through its swansong.
The final matchup is the most tantalizing with MOUZ looking to avoid going from 2-0 to 2-3 after losing to FaZe and Falcons in consecutive matches, taking on a Virtus.pro who has struggled to replicate the level it showed at IEM Katowice.
