Timothy "autimatic" Ta has become a free agent four months after he was benched by NRG in favor of Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott.

The American, who won a Major with Cloud9 at ELEAGUE Boston in 2018, will now embark on a break from competition.

"I felt like I slowly lost myself throughout the last three years because of the grind and the constant struggles," autimatic said on X. "I need to reset before I can positively contribute to a winning team."

autimatic has endured a turbulent few years, switching to VALORANT in 2021 before returning to CS with the ill-fated Evil Geniuses project.

He then signed for NRG in Counter-Strike 2, but couldn't get back to his best in the new game.

"Honestly haven't been playing my best since CS2 came out and reflected a lot as to why," autimatic said at the time of his benching. "Shame that this decision came before I was able to put my realizations into practice."
