Finnish tournament organizer Elisa has announced that it will host a tier-two ranked event for Nordic sides in Vaasa, a city located on the country's west coast, with $100,000 in prize money.
The Elisa Nordic Championship will take place from May 20-24, kicking off with an eight-team studio phase before the Vaasan Sähkö Arena opens its doors to the arena finals with the top four teams.
Teams will be able to earn spots at the event through local qualifiers, held in collaboration with Fragbite in Sweden, Dust2.dk in Denmark and MistGames in Norway. In Finland, seasons 8 and 9 of Elisa Open will act as national qualifiers.
"The Elisa Nordic Championship 2025 represents a significant step up in Nordic esports," Mika Lepistö, Director of New Business Development & Partnerships at Elisa, said in a statement.
"We want to offer teams in our region the opportunity to compete at the highest level and gain important ranking points on their way to the international level."
Tickets for the Elisa Nordic Championship will go on sale on March 1 via Liveto. Spectators must be at least 16 years old, or 13 if accompanied by a guardian.
