Highlight Football League(HFL)

Well everyone, we have arrived at that time of the season. 8 teams left, but only 1 team can top everyone else and win it all. So, today I predict the outcome of the HFL playoffs.

Divisional Round:

Bucs vs Bears
Prediction: Bears defeat Bucs
Does this game really need an explanation on why Chicago is going to win?

Giants vs Vikings
Prediction: Vikings defeat Giants
The Giants don’t have a huge net to fall into when they make mistakes anymore. The Vikings are a dangerous team, maybe even a possible Super Bowl contender. The Vikings will win this, and I don’t even know if it will be close.

Chiefs vs Steelers
Prediction: Chiefs defeat Steelers
Look, I understand this year’s logo conspiracy, but this matchup is one that I could pretty much predict, even though I think it will be close. The Steelers are coming off of 2 losses in a row but the Chiefs have been on a tear recently, with 3 wins in a row. The Chiefs will win this game, no matter how close it is, the Steelers just have been off the last 2 weeks, making KC favorites.

Jaguars vs Jets
Prediction: Jets defeat Jagaurs
The Jets are coming off of 2 huge wins, a massive blowout against Arizona, then taking on the Steelers as huge underdogs at home, and winning, clinching home field advantage for the playoffs. The Jaguars are not in a position to make a playoff run, and many people had both of these teams being eliminated in the first round, which probably would’ve been the case if the Jets failed to beat the Steelers. But here we are, the Jets beat the Steelers, and we have this matchup that will be very close, but the Jets momentum I think will be enough to carry them through at least 1 playoff game.

Conference Championships:

Vikings vs Bears
Prediction: Vikings defeat Bears
Logo conspiracyyyyyy! Vikings colors are in the logo, therefore they will beat the Bears. All jokes aside, this is the obvious NFC title game, but it will be close for the 3rd time. Both of their games this season have been close, but this time, even with home field advantage, I think the Bears will lose because the Vikings now know how to play against this team. They’ve been able to limit the damage Chicago can do on them, this will be their chance to go out, practice the hardest they’ve ever practiced, and kill two birds with one stone, end the Bears chance of going 13-0 over the span of the season, and send themselves to the Super Bowl. With so much on the line, expect the Vikings to thrive under the pressure of this game, and book their ticket to HFL Super Bowl VI.

Chiefs vs Jets
Prediction: Chiefs defeat Jets
Well, this will be the obvious destination if this game ends up happening. The Jets will put up a fight in this game, but I don’t think it will be a 1 score game when the Chiefs end up winning. This will end the Jets season, one way or another.

HFL Super Bowl VI:

Vikings vs Chiefs
Prediction: Vikings defeat Chiefs by a score of 45-31
Well everyone, if this is the Super Bowl, this is where the Chiefs will run out of gas. I don’t think they will have enough left to beat this team after beating one of the best teams in the AFC in the Steelers and havig to play another tough team with the Jets. I think the Vikings will kill the Chiefs with their momentum. For the Vikings, this would be the perfect ending to a season that would be disappointing based on their regular season record. This would be huge for the Vikings, and while most would never hear the end of it, this is the fitting end to the season, and something the Vikings will have earned.
