Well everyone, we are down to 8 teams in HFL S6, and the playoffs are going to take us through quite a ride. There could be shakes, twists, and so much more! With the AFC a lot less predictable than the NFC, let’s take a look at this week’s power rankings, but with only 8 teams left.
8. Buccaneers(2-8), #4 Seed in NFC
Well who’s shocked here? The Bucs are all but mid rebuild, and don’t expect them to put up much of a fight against the Bears in the Divisional Round.
7. Giants(5-5), #3 Seed in NFC
I don’t know if this is or isn’t much of a shocker, but ever since the jets beat the giants, the giants have been on quite the downhill run. Starting off pretty much untouchable, the Giants have not been able to keep up with other teams like the Vikings and Bears. They have lost by mercy 2 weeks in a row and I don’t see their rematch from Week 10 with the Vikings going so well.
6. Jaguars(5-5), #4 Seed in AFC
Well, well, well. The Jaguars did what they could and then luck was on their side in Week 10. Squeaking in as the 4 seed in the AFC, the Jags have a tough to stop opponent who have been on a tear the past 2 weeks, the New York Jets. Now, this will be tough for them because of how much momentum the Jets have. Even the Jaguars star power I don’t think is enough to get them to the AFC title game.
5. Steelers(6-4), #2 Seed in AFC
Hot take number 1! The Steelers might not fare as well as many think against the Chiefs for one main reason. Momentum. The Steelers have a lack of it right now thanks to 2 straight losses at the hands of the Jags and Jets, but this could be something that slows them down vs Sizzle and KC.
4. Jets(7-3), #1 Seed in AFC
The Jets are a middle of the pack team in the playoffs, even though they have the 1 seed in the AFC. Something that they could prove to use to their advantage though, is their momentum. With a blowout win in Week 9, and a 1 seed clinching win in Week 10, the Jets are all ready to face the next chapter of their season, which in this case, is the Jaguars.
3. Chiefs(5-5), #3 Seed in AFC
The Chiefs are revamped and ready to roll to dominate the AFC in these playoffs. Being as experienced as they are, other teams need to watch out or they could be steamrolled by this team.
2. Vikings(6-4), #2 Seed in NFC
The Vikings are now our best hope to stop Chicago from going 13-0 over the span of the season and winning the Super Bowl. This team has the weapons and qb to make a run in the playoffs, and with 2 games vs Chicago under their belt, they know how to play vs them.
1. Bears(10-0), #1 Seed in NFC
The Bears are unbeatable right now. We had the game where it looked like maybe we had a huge upset and Miami winning in Chicago, but last play, they heave it down the field, and the next thing you know slayer has the ball and Chicago go 10-0. That’s all that needs to be said.
