HFL Week 4 Recap
last year - 12/16/2024 11:34 PM GMT-3
Tonight finished up the 4th week of HFL S6 Action, with the Jets defeating the Chiefs, and the Giants beating the Cardinals in a thriller. More into those later. This week had some great finishes, lucky hits, luckier bounces, and more! Pretty much, if you name it, this week had it. So join me as we take a deep dive into HFL Week 4.
We begun the week with a thrilling game, the 2-1 Jaguars coming in hot, taking on the 2-1 Vikings who were coming off of a loss. ‘White Lamar’ Liam looked fantastic in this game, but what cost the jags was having 3 key players miss Sunday’s action. Blue was a reliable option as Liam’s WR1 in this game, but the jags needed that extra boost in this game. On the other side, the vikings had Drewz, who’s putting up possibly MVP caliber numbers to start the season, kept himself on a roll, especially when his team needed a boost late in the game. Ice looked good as a WR1 in this game, I don’t know if this could be a sign of things to come. The short passes are again what got the Vikings over the finish line in this game, as their last drive took up 2:14 of the 2:17 left on the clock as they drove almost the length of the field to go down and kick what would be a game winning field goal, despite a last play Hail Mary by the jags. Final Score: Vikings defeat Jaguars 40-39.
Our next game was the Bears vs Bucs, it was a ffw for the bears so not much to say about this other then the fact that the bears are still the only undefeated HFL team at 4-0.
I wasn’t at the Steelers vs saints game although I did hear that the saints weren’t playing how they should’ve as they now drop to 0-4, and the Steelers were in good form to pick up the win and go ahed of the AFC competition now climbing to a 3-1 record.
For our early Monday game, the 1-2 Chiefs went to MetLife and took on the 1-2 Jets, a Week 3 rematch. In this game, Jacob was back and looked like himself again, as the jets took the high road to a 69-27 win over the Chiefs. Meanwhile the only thing that I saw in the Chiefs, is a disbanded team who have players that don’t want to work with each other.
In our final game, the 0-3 Cardinals went and took on the 2-1 Giants at MetLife. The Cards looked strong out the gate, but let their own desire for more points get ahold of themselves when they were up big, and they slipped up and almost handed the Giants this win. Meanwhile I don’t think the Giants deserved this at all, the Cardinals all but handed this to them, let it go to OT and then the Giants got the game winning safety. The only thing I won’t blame the giants of is how many times they fumbled, they took many unlucky hits and had unlucky bounces, this almost cost them the game. Final Result: Giants defeat Cardinals 49-47 in Overtime.
Thank you for joining us for this Week 4 recap, I hope you enjoyed it, and I will see you guys next week for a Week 5 preview with predictions and analysis of all of the matchups, and after for the Week 5 Recap.
