Hartpury RFC snatch win at the last minute to suprise Gloucester
Gloucester started the match strong, finishing the first half 26-6 up against underdogs Hartpury RFC. However, they had been yellow carded when they were 12-3 up, but Hartpury could only score the penalty kick they got then in the rest of that half. But they started the second half amazingly, with a converted try and then 2 unconverted to follow on put them only 26-23 behind. Then disaster struck for Gloucester. They high-tackled a Hartpury RFC player and got red carded for a repeat offence. So Hartpury scored a penalty kick to level at 26 a-peice. Then, just before the end of the match, Gloucester scored an amazing drop-goal to take the win. Or what seemed like the win at that time. Because, just before the clock went red, Gloucester knocked on to give Hartpury a scrum on the 5-meter line. After the first phase, Hartpury kicked out to their right-winger and he scored in the corner to let them lead 31-29. But it was only a few seconds that the kicker had to wait before the clock was red. The conversion had slotted straight down the middle just to push Hartpury 2 more points in the lead. They had done it! They had suprised Gloucester to win the match and go to the top of their pool! This was brilliant for them as they feel it doesn't matter what score they get against Exeter next week, they have qualified for the Quarter-finals.
