During the Tsukuba Grand Prix, several drivers complained about the great front grip and oversteer of Ainara's Honda and Juan David's Renault.
Mark Jackson: It's such a small circuit where the gaps are minimal, it's very difficult to make a difference.
Craig Anderson: In qualifying, Ainara and Juan David were half a second faster than third, Alvaro in this case. The rest, from the third to the last, we had a difference of 3 tenths between everyone.
Alvaro Gonzalez: I've been accused of using illegal settings on all circuits when it wasn't true. The stewards were in charge of analysing my speed and my cornering, and even went so far as to analyse the settings I used in all the races. When they are long circuits, it is easier for there to be a big difference, but on a circuit where a lap is done in 50 seconds, it is not normal for there to be a big difference. In the corners they put a big gap between me and on the straights I took a lot of time off the one behind me. When the car has a lot of downforce, it grips more in the corners, but runs less on the straights.
