Spring 2025 season: drastic changes incoming
last year - 11/17/2024 5:08 PM GMT-3
In addition to the four clubs deciding to go professional at the start of last season, eight Alekiri and four Ausardian clubs have been granted a professional status for the Spring 2025 season.

A third tier will be created to accommodate those clubs, taking the name Alekiri National League from the second tier - the second tier will now be called the Alekiri Championship. A new trophy has been made for the brand new third tier.

Each tier will now have twelve competitors, with the top/bottom two getting directly promoted/relegated, and the one spot above the bottom two and three spots below the top two will go into a playoff.

Every team will play each other thrice for a total of 33 league games per season - a random draw will decide which team gets the second home advantage. Also, the AFA Cup's first round will be replaced by a round of 32.

Ausardian clubs will have their own cup competition managed by the Ausardian Football Federation, and as such cannot participate in the AFA Cup or qualify for the Ultimates Cup through the league system.
