Hanto Town, SC Miotosu, SC Seinaru and FC Arechi have all applied for the Spring 2025 ANL license. This of course raises the question: how is that going to affect promotion and relegation this season?
"The AFA has thought about numerous possibilities, but currently two plans are on the table: either to expand the APL by two - so no relegation and two direct promotion spots this season, or splitting the ANL into two groups - East and West, with keeping promotion and relegation as it is this season. Of course, we are still far from 2025, there could be more clubs applying eventually, in which case we would have to rethink everything." said the AFA spokesman.
"No relegation this season? Yes please." the AFC Kutsu manager commented.
"No matter the format, our goal will be nothing less than promotion to the Premier League. I've already talked with the other new managers about setting up friendlies, and we would like to appeal to other clubs for friendlies as well. We are aware that everyone is on a tight schedule, but we would greatly appreciate if we could play a few matches with AFA clubs, or even ones from abroad, during this season." stated the Hanto Town manager.
