last year - 4/29/2024 12:25 PM GMT-3
The Ultimates Cup is a seemingly very attractive tournament for clubs from all around the world founded by the World Football Organisation, which the Alekiri Football Association is a member of.

A total of 28 clubs will partake in the competition. Out of those 28, 8 of them will be from the Alekiri league system. Specifically, the winner of the AFA Cup will qualify directly, while the four best clubs in the APL will also get a direct spot in the group stage. The two clubs behind the top 4 get a chance to fight their way to the main stages of the competition through the qualification.

The Ultimates Cup has three stages: the qualification, the group stage and the knockout stage. In the qualification, eight clubs from across the world will be drawn against each other to compete for four spots in the group stage in the first two weeks of the season. After that, the 24 main competitors will be drawn from four pots into six groups of four, where they'll play against each other twice in the span of six weeks. All the 1st and 2nd placed teams along with the four best 3rd placed teams will advance to the knockout round. There, they'll be drawn to play each other in two legs until the one-leg final. The final will be held in the Alekiri National Stadium in Port Takai, Alekir.
