THE FIRST DERBY OF THE SEASON

In GW1 of S3, we already have our first derby of the season. This is, in fact, the Paulista Derby between Corinthians and Palmeiras. Let me give you some background. This derby is ranked IRL as the 9th best derby to date and dates all the way back to 1917 to now, based in the Brazilian city, São Paulo. Their latest meeting was on the 18th of February 2024, in which the match ended in a tie at 2-2. They have also had many meetings in tournaments and even at finals as well. This derby is one of the most anticipated every year and has had many major trophies spread throughout it.
Now back to CCF, Palmeiras is chairmanned by L2Z_Wannabe and is led by people like Matias and Belgian supported by others. On the Corinthians side, Hitman is in control while the team is led by players such as Desired, Thibaut, as well as other promising talents. I think I could speak for everyone when I say this derby is pretty evenly matched considering side by side play in general and I am excited to see how the game goes. With that being said, here is my prediction.
No team is able to get a goal until in the 64th minute, Palmeiras scores taking the lead. Later, in the 82nd minute Corinthians then gets a goal to tie things up. In the 87th minute, Corinthians score again but the goal is ruled offside and the match ends in a 1-1 game between the two teams. I think this derby will help kick off the season well and I am personally excited to see these two teams go at it.
