OFC Nations Cup 2024

In the final of the OFC Men's Nations Cup 2024 have competed, again as in the 3rd place match, two teams that had played against each other in the group stage. It was New Zealand against the hosts, Vanuatu. This was a very special occasion for Vanuatu since it was their first final in the OFC Men's Nations Cup and yet they had the chance to play infront of their crowd. In the group stage match New Zealand won against Vanuatu and the same happend again. New Zealand took the lead early on by a wonderful goal by Cameron Howieson. Then in the 75th minute Timothy Boulet from Vanuatu recieved a red card. After that in the 83rd minute Jesse Randall scored a goal which increased the lead for New Zealand by two. And then in the additional time, 94th minute, Max Mata scored the final goal to put New Zealand up by 3 goals to 0 and secure 6th OFC Men's Nations Cup title for New Zealand.
