Hurricanes and Defenders played each other in this years finals, taking the series all the way to game 7.
Neither team won back-to-back games, which led to a game 7 victory in double overtime by the Hurricanes, who won 172-170 in a game that will likely never be replicated.
This will be the Hurricanes first ever championship since entering the league, with Dre Prince being ABL Finals MVP at 299 points, with Tyler Lambert getting the team's playoff mvp and Defenders' team playoff mvp being rookie Stefan Wilson, who finished the series with 341 points.
