There are 8 groups (A to H) with 4 Doubles. The Doubles drawn randomly to determine their group. Within each group, Doubles play a round-robin format, meaning that each Doubles plays against the other three Doubles in their group once. Each match plays up to 11, win by 2 points with a time limit of 13mins to complete the match, whichever comes first. Doubles earn group points based on the results of these matches, 3 points for Win, 1 point for Tie, and 0 point for Loss.
Determining Group Standings:
After the completion of all group matches, the Players are ranked within their groups based on the number of group points they have accumulated. If two or more Players have the same number of group points, the following criteria are considered in order to determine the rankings:
1. Group Points: Players earn points based on the results of these matches, with three (3) group points awarded for a win, one (1) group point for a draw, and zero (0) group points for a loss.
2. Match Points Difference: The difference between the number of match points a Players has earned and the number of match points they have conceded in their group matches. Example: You won your match 11-7, you earned 4 pts and your opponent earned (-)4pts.
3. Match Point: The total number of match points a Player has scored in their group matches. Example: You won 2 and 1 lost with scores of: 11-8; 9-8 (time expired); 4-11, your total match point is 24.
