SURINAME TRIUMPHS OVER DOMINICANA - LEGENDS MADE
last year - 9/26/2023 10:51 AM GMT-3
When Suriname was drawn to face Dominicana, no one really had any expectations. Facing reality, these are two sides that are most probably doomed to not qualify. However, the central American players took to the stage and gave the world a goal fest, with Suriname maintaining a tight 3-2 lead. Job, who came on as a substitute late in the game, was key with two vital assists to Fap A Joe, who marked his name is history.

In an LFA post-match interview, Ong A Fat had this to say:

"Congratulations, Ong A Fat, on the thrilling victory today against Dominicana. How do you feel about the team's performance and advancement to the next stage of LCN 2009 qualifying?"

Ong A Fat: "Thank you! It was indeed a tough match, and I couldn't be prouder of my teammates, especially Job and Fap a Joe, for their incredible goals. Dominicana put up a strong fight, but our teamwork and determination prevailed. We're excited to move forward in the LCN 2009 qualifiers and will continue to give our best in the upcoming matches. Our fans in Suriname have been fantastic, and we're eager to make them proud."

The Dominicans left the pitch furious, promising investigation appeals that have not yet been received. However, word ran through the LFA claiming this match, despite its glory, should have been replayed:

"Switching times were unobserved and, lets say, 'inofficially' edited. This calls for an immediate replay of this match, as to keep the LCN 2009 on a clean route to tournament glory'.

A few days later, it was uncovered that the Dominican FA had paid several LFA officials to make noise.

Suriname persists!
