The Ukrainian Football Federation lodged a public complaint, declining to play against Belarus due to ongoing border conflicts. This decision reflects their concern over the situation and its potential impact on the safety and well-being of the teams and fans involved in the match.
"Our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our players and fans. Given the current border conflicts, we find it prudent to decline the upcoming match against Belarus. We hope for a peaceful resolution and look forward to participating in matches that prioritize the security of all involved."
The LFA has since refused this statement and the match will proceed in a DEMILITARIZED ZONE.
