The North American team have bested the Russian giants to win the first season's grand finals. 3 of the closest maps of the season ended up being in the final, with the season's only two overtimes being there as well. Map 1 was Sight Ruin's pick, and took us to Nuke, a map they had just lost to Ostrich Gaming in their only defeat in the regular season. 41 kills from Uge was not enough to stop Team Swift, led by a 36 kill match from Canadian Entry Fang, from taking map 1 22-20. Map 2 was Team Swift's pick of Mirage. The American's hoped to put the match away early with a quick 2-0, but the Russian's were not having it. Sight Ruin hit match point first, but were unable to close it out in regulation. In overtime big CT round wins seemed like it would lead to a victory from Sight Ruin, but a strong CT side from Team Swift led the two teams back to Overtime. This time Sight Ruin closed it quickly, ending the map 22-19. Map 3 was Mirage. The last time these two played it Sight Ruin stopped a comeback attempt to win 16-14. Fang, who had been overperforming in the first two maps, 36 and 45 kills respectively, tamed out on this decider. It seemed like the Americans had run out of steam, but IGL Phil led by example, getting multiple huge double entries that would lead Team Swift to comeback from 13-10, to win 16-14.
