Bournemouth’s Early Season Drama?!
3 years ago - 6/28/2023 9:06 AM GMT-3
Lionel Messi and Gary O’Neil may secretly have some form of disagreement that hasn’t been publicised yet. For both of the first two games the manger has made two very odd decisions involving Messi’s involvement in the fixtures, with him not starting at all in the first and being subbed off in an important time in the second game. Fans will be hoping it is simply strict management that is common in many managers, as the cause has increased intensity due to Messi’s reputation, it makes it seem a lot more noticeable. However, something seriously wrong between the pair could ruin many things for Argentina and Bournemouth in this competition as Lionel Messi is undoubtably one of the best performers in the world and league, let alone the Bournemouth squad. The next few weeks will determine whether this case is a genuine thing to be worried about, or a simple way of management from O’Neil towards all players fairly.

Argentina currently sit high up in the league, meaning any form of drama and media focus could affect mentalities within the team and players’ morale, leading to worsened performances on the pitch, which they can not afford with such a big international reputation, while also being reigning World Cup champions.
