The Rusty Mcdonald Trophy is the new trophy which nominates a team that is deamed as the team who won the most accolades in the season (TOTY). The 3 teams that have been chosen are the

"Brisbane Cardinals (1-2), (13-3) (1-1)" Earning the first place in the QBL 1st division, and confirming 1st division for next season as well. And have a good chance at defending their title.

The second team that has been selected are the "Idalia Wizards (1-2), (7-7) (4-0)" This season, the Idalia Wizards won the very first QBL Cup award. they pulled through the very rough patch of their season which when at their worst, where bottom seeders in the league, but persevered and pulled of a finals chance, were they eliminated the first seeded Rockhampton Thunder, and are pushing a 1-1 tie series with the bundaberg Hawks with a deciding game this Saturday (5/4/24).

The last team we have selected is the "Rockhampton Thunder (1-2), (10-4), (1-1)" despite being the lowest rated squad in the 17 team league this season, they pulled through the statistics and won that 1st place in the regular season.
