In a thrilling and highly competitive basketball game, the OLA Falcons emerged victorious over the OLA Spartans with a final score of 59 to 57. The game was filled with tension and excitement, keeping the spectators and players under pressure until the very last second.
The Spartans had a early lead and control of the game until the 3rd quarter but the Falcons came back stronger in the 4th quarter to pull out a 59 to 57 victory.
The Falcons were led by Thejaka Iddamalgoda - 19 Points and 1 Assist, Ryan Rulach - 12 points and 5 Assists and Indeepa Maddumage with 12 points and 2 Assists. As usual their shooter Theekshana Ferdinando made his crucial 3 point shots as well. These players were the key contributors for the team while the Spartans had Vathila De Silva with 19 points and 1 Assist, Yevin Dammage with 15 points and 2 Assists and Afdal Khalid with 14 points and 5 Assists. The Spartans almost had the game but during the last 5 seconds of the 4th quarter the Spartans caused a turnover to lose possession.
The Falcons victory was their 3rd win in a row and makes them way ahead on the points table. One more victory could guarantee them a spot in the Tri-Series Finals in July!
