Tomorrow (21/05/2023) will see the final day of the Summer Term 1 2023 Countdown come to a close, and there is still all to play for in the lower reaches of Skittles League One.

Yesterday's results mean that heading into the final day both Agatha Bell and Cameron Ludlow sit on 46 points, with Cameron ahead by just 18 goals.

This means that if Cameron beats second place Will McKinley, scoring 33, tomorrow he will guarantee his safety - regardless of Agatha's result against Will Bradley (who is guaranteed to finish on negative points in last place)

If Cameron and Agatha both win, but Cameron scores less than 33, Agatha could reach safety if she scores 18 more goals than him.

If one wins and the other fails to, the winner will be safe.

Speaking to both competitors ahead of the action, Cameron was in a confident mood saying "Oh damn... I'm just going to do a Cambridge and clutch up on the final day" and insisting he's going to "do an MK Dons on her".

Agatha was equally confident of her chances, responding "That all seems very likely" when asked about the conditions needed for her survival. She then hit out at her fellow competitors, claiming "Not many people [a]r[e] still invested in it."

It is worth remembering that whichever of these two ends up in 5th place will have to face Beth Sanders in the two-legged Relegation Play Off, and both would presumably be confident of securing their status that way.
