Following a thrilling and tense battle with Alfie McCullough yesterday, Jimmy's final attempt secured him the equalising goal to make the score 46-46. This was enough to see him move 4 points clear of Will McKinley, despite the latter's 33-25 win over Matthew Stone. That result made this one a crucial game for Alfie as well: if he had won, he would have secured automatic promotion to League One.
Staying in League Two, newcomer Daniel Cafferkey has cemented his place in the Play Offs despite a 10-5 defeat to Beth Sanders, courtesy of Agatha Bell beating Thomas Deakin 8-20.
That means that the final day (21/05/2023) will have three issues to be decided:
- Who will face Beth in the Relegation Play Offs? - Who will secure Automatic Promotion to League One? - Who will finish in last place?
There are also questions asked about whether Ginevra Iellici-March can go through a whole season without scoring and somehow avoid finishing bottom.
