The new rounds will see a Riddle round and a Flag round brought in.
The Riddle round is a riddle competitors must answer for a total of 10 points.
The Flag round is more involved where a correct identification will score 5 points, and correctly naming the relevant capital city will earn another 5 points.
This means that the highest total able to be scored on a singled day is now 52 points which could see individuals rocket up the league table in no time at all.
Some purists of the Countdown sport are questioning the decision to bring these new rounds in, but the majority of fans are excited at the prospect of more action - and more goals!
