Team Raphinina played out a full time draw with Team Mats in a huge breathtaking game.
The atmosphere Was very tensed as both sides struggled to get the opening goal. But then, Team Raphinina which score first in the 37th minute with a goal from Emmanuel Conteh and looking like they were going into the second half with the lead, Team Mats equalised on the stroke of half-time with a goal from Awesome Emmanuel and it was level pegging at the break.
It was victory calling for team Mats as they managed to turn the game around in the 67th minute with a sublime volley from their top scorer awesome Emmanuel scoring a brace and his team was looking good for the win but they will then concede a ridiculous goal after a defensive error in the 80+ minutes. More drama in the dying minutes as team Mats were awarded a penalty in the 90th minute but failed to hit the target as the game finished 2-2.
The captain of Team Raphinina had this to say after the game:
"I'm disappointed. I've always said we want to compete but we had issues doing that. We couldn't capitalize on numerical advantage in the first half and we suffered in the second.....These are the kind of games you grind out wins from if you want to be among the elite. Emmo and Mario alongside Kayode showed passion inspite of availability issues......On to the next game!!!!
