Chornomorets Odesa lost 2-1 to Vorskla Poltava today in a huge relegation six pointer. Vorskla initially took the lead however Christoph Kramer scored from the spot in the 68th minute to salvage Chornomorets season. However, an 88th minute goal by Vorskla gave them all 3 points and sent Chornomorets 3 points from safety but with goal difference and head to head, the next two tiebreakers are against them and make it practically impossible for them to stay up.

After getting promotion from the 2020/21 season from the Ukrainian First League, the club spent four consecutive season in the top flight and have had loads of seasons in the top flight before their relegation in 2018/19. They also won 2 Ukrainian Cups in the early 1990s and have qualified for Europe on several occasions.

It is unfortunate to lose one of Ukraine's biggest clubs however they will have to spend the 2025/26 season in the second division of Ukrainian football.
